| Mountain Log Index > Entry March 5th: The Magillicuddy Reeks More snow this week so it was back to the Reeks again. This time we, sorry Kevin and Doc decided that we were going to Climb Skegmore and thence to Beenkeragh, returning via Cooloughra. Paul S. was stuck in a sauna with six lesbians in Kilkenny so Doc felt quite safe. The cloud came and went giving us spectacular views. We all looked very butch with our ice axes. At the col before Beenkeragh, Eibhear (who didn't want his complexion ruined by too much exposure to the wind before his book launch), Charlie and Doc decided to go down while Kevin, Paul and Tony headed for the summit. A great day was had by all. P.S. Eibhear expects that his book "Kate O'Brien. A Writing Life" (Irish Academic Press) will be purchased by all members!! A rucksack inspection will be carried out by him on next climb to ensure that everyone has a copy!
