April 16th. Galtees:
Our Dublin fellow hikers from "Out & About" escaped
from the Wicklow Hills to Roy's Centre in Galbally. Some of our
members, Eibhear, Kev and Mick joined them for the weekend and the
rest of us came down on Easter Sunday for the day. Exhausted by
his efforts on climbing Galteemore on Saturday, Eibhear seduced
some of the Dubs to join him on his regular teashop tours. The rest
of us headed for Loughlan's Castle on a very breezy day. On our
way down we found a nice sheltered spot by a stream where all the
Dubs promptly went to sleep! Apparently they do this regularly in
Wicklow. There will be none of that nonsense in Kerry at the June
weekend. We'll show those boys how to climb!
